Quiet Moment

Okay, take a deep breathe, now exhale. This election day has finally arrived, and a bittersweet one for many, as we learned that Obama's grandmother passed away yesterday.

You don't have to be alive a long time to notice how the passing of an older member of the family often happens right before a new baby is born, or something wonderful happens to another younger family member.

There's something there, the ebb and flow of our family and friends, some strange homeostatis, a delicate balance, whether you believe in God or not, there is a balancing point in the universe, a large ancient teeter totter, moving up, moving down. You can hear it creaking sometimes in the big playground of life.
