Life Balance: Enough Bad News Already

I'm sure very few people who actually lived through the Depression in the 1930's had much good to say about it, but maybe there was one upside. At least they didn't have the Internet bombarding them with bad news, constantly reminding them how bad things were 24x7!

I mean, really! I've been chatting with friends these last few days about how relentless the non-stop bad news is, and it's getting a little ridiculous. Okay, melt-down, job loss, foreclosure, I get it, I get it! Enough!

I can't believe it's healthy to be eating a diet of nothing but bad news and fear and loathing. Yikes! So, do me a favor today, try to talk about anything else for 5 minutes. It will help us all out.

Hell, try to talk about something positive for another 10 minutes today. Here are some subjects for you -- many people still have jobs and actually like them, babies are still pink and cute, cake still tastes good, a cup of coffee with friends continues to be pleasant, someone somewhere is falling in love and they think life is grand. Oh, yeah, gas prices are a dream come true!
