GREENWICH, CT 06830

I grew up in Greenwich, CT and notice people are taking pot shots at it since it is such a wealthy town. Well, normal middle class people live there too. Give it a break.

Today, I've been digging around trying to find stuff about how some of the less affluent people who lived there in villages of Glenville and Byram managed through the Depression in Greenwich.

When I was there in high school, I did a really fun project with the Greenwich Library. They had an amazing collection of "oral histories" of Greenwich residents talking about the old days. We made it into a play and performed it. I got to play Olga Hirschhorn. I'm going to see how much of this stuff is available online. More on this later when I finish digging up more history.
