Berkeley

Great to be in Berkeley. Mary Hodder's hosting and she is such a good cook. Holy Hell. She made this great salad thing last night with fresh pink grapefruit slices and avocados, whoa. And pasta with lamb sausages. I'm so jealous of the amazing array of fresh fruit and excellent healthy food out here.

And then of course, there's the weather. It is a bit different here from Boston.

I fell jet-laggedly asleep at a reasonable hour, right after peeking out the window at the full moon glow beginning to rise up in the Berkeley Hills, like a Hollywood starlet being introduced. "Here She Is!" I never saw the actual moon, just this surreal glow suggesting a wonderful night being birthed. I was too tuckered out to enjoy it.
