Thankful: Warm House

This is a week of reading heart-wrenching and very disappointing accounts of New Orleans and what a big mess it still is.

I'm thankful for my clean, dry, warm house.

I'm hoping we can rally to rebuild New Orleans with the love and dignity and inspiration it deserves.

I've been reading Confederacy of Dunces which is so good and so full of the fun and crazy liveliness of New Orleans. Everyone should read or re-read it. It's a great place to start when it comes to rebuilding that fanciful city.
