Open On My Desktop This Morning: Misty

Oddly, this morning, I find this on my desktop from a search last night.
Play Misty for Me is a 1971 thriller film, directed by Clint Eastwood, about a radio disc jockey who becomes the target of an obsessed female fan, played by Jessica Walter. It was Clint Eastwood's directorial debut, and he also played the disc jockey. Donna Mills also appeared as Clint Eastwood's sometime girlfriend.

The title comes from the fan's habit of phoning in to the DJ's radio show and asking him to play the song "Misty".

The film paved the way for such later stalker films as Fatal Attraction. It is also notable for the use of location shooting in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, where Eastwood has long made his home. The film also features Roberta Flack's recording of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face." In "Dirty Harry", Eastwood enters a diner at the beginning of the film, and a movie theater is on the corner. "Play Misty For Me" is the film showing.
I know how I got there. I was reading about In The Line of Fire, remembering Malkovitch had been in a movie with Eastwood.
