Hurricane Pix Not Pretty

Watching some of the coverage on CNN, looks pretty bad in New Orleans.

But I remember pix of the LA Northridge earthquake covered by CNN when I lived in LA. They made it look WAY WORSE than it was and I spent a good part of the day trying to calm my Connecticut-based family down and tell them we were okay.

Also, similar to earthquake coverage, they often focus on the biggest metropolitan areas being hit and only later realize another smaller set of cities were sustaining far more damage, but they didn't happen to have their reporters there.
