Weird Imaginings Of One's Friends' Digital Whereabouts

Is it just me, or do you get the feeling you know where your friends are all the time, now that you've got texting, blackberrying, IM'ing, IRC'ing, plain old cell phoning and any other endless number ways to communicate with them.

And then ... they suddenly don't answer and you think ... "Hmmmm ... where the hell are they?" as if they belong to you and you keep them on a little digital leash most of the time.
