Bluesman: 50 Cent Massacres Blind Lemon Jefferson

I've been loving this Massacre album by 50 Cent and thinking about it in the context of the old blues singers like Blind Lemon Jefferson and Robert Johnson.

You can listen to Candy Shop and Just a Lil Bit and think the lyrics are nearly pornographic, but if you put them next to the wonderful sexy blues lyrics of other old timey bluesmen, you see 50's just getting a Phd from the same elite university as these stars.
Yeah I'm young, but a nigga from the old school
On the dance floor, a nigga doin' old moves ...

-- Just a Lil Bit, 50 Cent

What about Black Snake Moan? Come on. That's some sexy song.
That Black Snake Moan
by Blind Lemon Jefferson

circa June 1926, Chicago, Illinois

I - I ain't got no mama now
I - I ain't got no mama now
She told me late last night, "You don't need no mama no how"
Mmm, mmm, black snake crawlin' in my room
Mmm, mmm, black snake crawlin' in my room
Some pretty mama better come and get this black snake soon
Ohh-oh, that must have been a bed bug, baby a chinch can't bite that hard
Ohh-oh, that must have been a bed bug, honey a chinch can't bite that hard
Ask my sugar for fifty cents, she said "Lemon, ain't a child in the yard"

Mama, that's all right, mama that's all right for you
Mama, that's all right, mama that's all right for you
Mama, that's all right, most seen all you do
Mmm, mmm, what's the matter now?
Mm, mmm, honey what's the matter now?
Sugar, what's the matter, don't like no black snake no how
Mmm, mmm, wonder where my black snake gone?
Mmm, mmm, wonder where this black snake gone?
Black snake mama done run my darlin' home

And Robert Johnson is only the greatest ... hardly know what to say that hasn't been said before.

His lyrics are sexy and sweet ("From Four Till Late"):

A man is like a prisoner and he's never satisfied
A woman is like a dresser, some man always ramblin' through its drawers
And how about Travelling Riverside Blues:
Now you can squeeze my lemon till the juice run down my...
(Spoken: till the juice run down my leg, baby, you know what I'm talkin' 'bout)
You can squeeze my lemon till the juice run down my leg
