High Time

When a story about how TV executives are finally resorting to a RADICAL STRATEGY -- actually producing TV series featuring women that a female audience has been begging for, for a lifetime or so -- well, as a woman you just want to scratch your head and wonder, "did they really only just figure this out? Where have they been?"

Aren't TV execs programming what THEY want to see and characters they think are wonderful -- themselves? Is it another misinformed case of SELF-DEMOGRAPHICS run amuk!?!
Fat and harried middle-class fathers with beautiful but nagging wives were largely banished to the basement for the 2005-2006 season, with no new sitcoms chronicling their ambivalent relations to kids and matrimony.

So it's high time Geena Davis was President. Right on.
