Boring-ocracy

Chris Nolan may be on to something -- something big and something obvious that no one has been brave enough to say.

A lot of well-known mainstream journalists are ... boring.

And a lot of new voices which are a lot more interesting are surfacing in blogs.

You pick ... boring writer, interesting writer.

Maybe that's the BIG MYSTERY of why journalists and bloggers are butting heads.

Should you fear for your job if you're writing is sub-par and you're only keeping your job because your buddies are equally dull and want you to stay employed at your publication to give them cover and not show them up?

Yes.
