The Apprentice: On Advertising

Last night's episode of The Apprentice proved something I already knew -- being creative looks easy and it ain't.

Both teams were asked to produce a commercial for Dove's new refreshing body wash product.

Both teams worked hard.

Both teams produced a commercial.

Both commercials sucked -- and this is according to Donnie Deutsch, the ad guy asked to judge the two entries.

Being creative is no cake walk. Being funny and clever is no piece of cake. Writing good advertising is just plain TOUGH.
