We're Making Significant Progress

This grates. Seems like Cheney said "we're making significant progress" an awful lot, with his "fatherly" tone as if it meant something. As if it meant anything. What does it mean? It's just one of those air-fillers and sounds very serious and impressive but means nothing.

It's kind of like Bush's catch phrase "it's hard work" but for grown-ups.
