Trippi At Poptech Conference

Discussion with Joe Trippi, Andrew Rasiej, Adrian Wooldridge.

Joe Trippi worries if Kerry wins it could make the Democratic Party continue to be complacent; if he loses it will shake it up and make it face issues that are long overdue.

Early Dean campaign, Trippi says, was like the Nixon Checkers speech -- a way to see what a new medium could do and how powerful it could be in terms of changing the way we practice politics. It's only the beginning though, and it will continue to manifest itself. There's a hunger in this country to be participating citizens. When did anyone mention "the common good" last time you noticed?

Trippi: Most politicians say: "Look at me, aren't I amazing?" Dean said: "Look at YOU, aren't you amazing?!"
