Take The Test

I've been doing some research on ETS -- Educational Testing Service -- which is a near-monopoly and runs the tests for the SAT, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, you name it.

A seemingly innocuous press release crossed my desktop today about how the College Board (a very close partner to ETS) thinks employees are not writing well and hopes to improve that. They aren't the first organization to published an unbiased research report letting people know there is a big problem, which -- surprise! -- they can solve for a price. To be fair, they don't say they can solve it here, but you can't tell me they aren't looking into employee testing as a new market. Come on! How dumb do we look?! We know what they are up to.
