Happy Holidays: Xmas Cards

Not sure how this all happened but my Xmas cards this year are a box of Red Barns in Norway by Claude Monet [Les Maisons Rouges a Bjoernegaard, Norvege, 1895] and another box of Central Park in Snow, a black and white photograph. Not very Bostony, but I like them.

Yesterday in a book store, I fell into Annie Leibovitz' new book, A Photographer's Life, 1990-2005 which is just so good. Amazing, amazing, amazing. Why is it so easy to find Christmas presents for oneself, and puzzling to find the perfect present for someone else?

I saw this delicious book too. Keller's Bouchon and French Laundry. Of course, leafing through it, I realized I don't actually want the cookbook, but would rather have the cook and the restaurant for Christmas.
